Dear Parent or Guardian,
Bdoketu (Summer) is coming, so let’s have a “Mni” check-in on “Water we going to be doing”!
With the Bdoketu, comes our Parent-Teacher Conferences where we will have updates on your child(ren)’s development and progress. We also will be discussing transitions to start planning for the 23-24 school year as it quickly approaches. It will be a 15-minute sit-down with your child(ren)’s teacher. The conferences will be held May 22nd– 24th. There will be a sign-up sheet in classrooms on May 1st. For any questions or to look for alternative times, please contact your classroom teacher.

Daḳota Iapi Fluency Assessment!
Help CWOO take a look at where our staff and families are in the Daḳota Iapi (language) with UMN Professor C̣aƞte Maza!
This will help CWOO track our language progress and goals.
Don’t worry if you feel you are not at the level you would like to be, this is going to help us understand where everyone is at to help support by creating lessons based on you!
MAY 23RD-MAY 26TH
What is it?
- A 10-minute conversation will be held with C̣aƞte Maza via Zoom. He will ask questions in Dakota to start out the conversation. You can speak in Dakota to him to show him what you know. This will help with understanding where you are at to help with goals to implement and the upcoming projects for this school year. Let us know how we can help you speak Dakota!
